These Terms & Conditions apply to all SummerSeries events, competitions and activities (“Events”).
By registering for, attending, or participating in any Event, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be legally bound by these Terms.
1. About SummerSeries
SummerSeries (“we”, “our”, “us”) organises local adult sports tournaments, community sporting events, family activity days, competitions and charity initiatives.
SummerSeries reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be published on our website.
2. Eligibility & Participation
2.1 Participants must meet all age, eligibility and entry requirements specified for each Event.
2.2 Proof of age and identity may be required at any time.
2.3 We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any participant at our sole discretion, including where:

Eligibility requirements are not met

False or misleading information has been provided
-
Behaviour breaches these Terms or Event rules
2.4 Participants under 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian.
3. Registration & Entry Fees
3.1 All registrations must be completed through official SummerSeries channels.
3.2 Entry is only confirmed once full payment has been received.
3.3 Entry fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated.
3.4 We reserve the right to:

Change event formats, schedules or venues
-
Limit participant numbers
-
Close registration at any time
3.5 Transfers of entry may be permitted at our discretion.
4. Event Rules & Conduct
4.1 All participants must:

Follow Event rules and formats
-
Comply with venue regulations
-
Follow instructions from officials, staff and volunteers
4.2 We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards:

Aggressive or abusive behaviour
-
Dangerous or reckless conduct
-
Discrimination or harassment
-
Damage to property
4.3 Participants removed for misconduct will not receive a refund.
4.4 All decisions made by SummerSeries officials are final and binding.
5. Health & Safety
5.1 Participation in sport and physical activity involves inherent risks including injury, illness or death.
5.2 By participating, you confirm that:

You are medically fit to take part

You participate entirely at your own risk

You accept full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing
5.3 You must inform organisers of any medical conditions that could affect safe participation.
6. Limitation of Liability
6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, SummerSeries shall not be liable for:

Injury or illness sustained during participation

Loss or damage to personal property
-
Travel or accommodation costs
-
Indirect or consequential losses
6.2 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

Death or personal injury caused by negligence

Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

Any liability that cannot be excluded by law

7. Assumption of Risk & Waiver
By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless SummerSeries and its:

Organisers
-
Staff and volunteers
-
Sponsors and partners
-
Venues and landowners
from any claims, demands, damages or losses arising from participation in the Event, except where caused by our negligence.
8. Insurance
Participants are responsible for arranging their own:

Personal accident insurance
-
Health insurance
-
Equipment insurance (if applicable)
SummerSeries does not provide participant insurance unless explicitly stated.
9. Prizes, Cash Awards & Incentives
9.1 Prizes are subject to Event-specific rules and eligibility checks.
9.2 We reserve the right to:

Verify identity and eligibility before awarding prizes

Withhold or withdraw prizes for rule breaches or misconduct
-
Substitute prizes with alternatives of equal value if necessary
9.3 Cash prizes may be subject to tax obligations, which remain the responsibility of the recipient.
10. Event Changes, Cancellation & Force Majeure
10.1 Events may be postponed, modified or cancelled due to:

Weather conditions
-
Safety concerns
-
Venue issues
-
Government restrictions
-
Force majeure (events beyond our control)
10.2 Where an Event is cancelled, we may offer:

A rescheduled date
-
Event credit
-
A partial refund
This will be determined at our discretion.
11. Photography, Filming & Media Use
11.1 Events may be photographed or filmed.
11.2 By attending, you grant SummerSeries the irrevocable right to use your image, likeness and voice for:

Marketing and promotion
-
Social media
-
Website and advertising
-
Press and PR
11.3 To opt out, written notice must be provided before the Event.
12. Data Protection & Privacy
12.1 Personal data is collected for:

Event administration

Communication
-
Safety and emergency contact
-
Marketing (where consent is provided)
12.2 Data will be handled in accordance with UK GDPR and applicable data protection laws.
12.3 We will not sell personal data to third parties.
13. Intellectual Property
All SummerSeries branding, logos, formats and materials remain the property of SummerSeries and may not be used without permission.
14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
